It all begins with Photography.
Learning how to frame and expose. How to look and see differently. And look again.
My visual education began at 12, with the first camera.
Then, the most extraordinary experience of all. The wonder of being in a dark room, developing and printing black and white photographs. And keep looking as much as possible, in museums, exhibitions and books.
Photography and film books is the only collection I keep.
From still to moving images came Editing, ordering pictures to tell a story. Writing through editing.
And then Color Grading, getting back to the dark room, watching pictures come to life.
And look again, still.
